Featured Kindnesses

At Kinship, we are founded on the idea of blending Acts of Kindness with our theatrical efforts. Now, we have dozens of Kindnesses under our belts, and are proud to continue contributing to our community both on and off the stage.
Here are a few of our Featured Kindesses!

LIVING STORYBOOK
In honor of World Storytelling Day, we gathered improvisers to perform a series of Narrated Stories as a pop-up book come to life! For admission we collected children's books to donate to Book Give Denver, an organization that helps support literacy in our community!

MISSION IMPROVIBLE: 12 HOURS OF NONSTOP IMPROV FOR THE BLUE BENCH
Each April we fundraise and perform twelve hours of nonstop improv to benefit the Blue Bench for Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month! The Blue Bench is the only comprehensive sexual assault assistance and prevention program in Metro Denver and we are happy to support them in their efforts.

YOU KNOW ME
Staged in 2019 and 2021, these six real stories of reproductive choice were told to raise funds for the ACLU in its fight for reproductive freedom. This powerful evening eradicated shame, gave voice back to survivors, and built community in a time when fear and doubt were prevalent.

RAINBOW RELIEF:
A BENEFIT FOR AFGHANISTAN'S LGBTQ
Our improv team put on a comedy show to raise funds for Rainbow Railroad, an organization that helps LGBTQ+ people leave unsafe or hostile areas. All money from box office went to this organization to support individuals fleeing Afghanistan following an evolution in their laws that put queer people in jeopardy.

FUNDRAISER FOR THE 7/20
MEMORIAL FOUNDATION
Since 2016, we have volunteered at the 7/20 Memorial Foundation's annual fundraiser geared towards building, supporting, and maintaining a memorial that honors the lives lost in the 2012 Aurora Theater Attack.
