Intern/Fellowships

Internship and Fellowship programs are designed for those with a specific interest in a particular field who are looking to gain more experience in that area. We are seeking dedicated, reliable, and good-natured applicants for these positions who are passionate about our mission here at Human, Kind.
 
Education and Production Fellow, 2017
 

Position Date: April 1, 2017-September 1, 2017.

 

Hours: Variable, 10-15 hours per week.

 

Compensation: Unpaid

 

Description:

The Education and Production Fellow will assist in the creation of Human, Kind’s first dedicated youth program while learning important skills for leadership, direction, and education. The Fellow will communicate with schools and youth programs, help devise programming and curriculum, and assist in the refinement of HK’s youth program. The Fellow will also assist where needed for Human, Kind and Third Kind productions in areas such as venue communication, documentation, and technical assistance.

A successful Fellow is expected to follow instructions well, complete tasks with precision, and further Human, Kind’s mission in all duties, planning, and communication.

This position reports directly to the Producing Artistic Director.

 

Position Requirements:

  • A secondary degree in a theater-related field

  • Ability to work as an individual and as a team

  • Commitment to service and community engagement

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Passion for youth education and arts participation

  • Access to personal computer, reliable Internet, and insured vehicle.

 

Preferred:

  • CPR and first aid certification

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Experience in classroom and extracurricular settings

  • Experience with theatrical equipment e.g. sound and light boards
